EasyWater
Rafting
The EasyWater Rafting action starts immediately just below the put-in point with Jim Thorpe Rapid. You’ll love the moments of excitement separated by quiet, serene pools perfect for swimming alongside your raft, coolin’ out in the sun, or mixing it up in WATERFIGHTS. This trip is a hoot for the whole family – imagine everyone having a great time in the same boat!
This is also the PERFECT trip if you’re a little fearful of rafting. You’ll quickly gain confidence and realize that “rafting isn’t as scary as I thought”. At 8 miles in length and about 3 hours on the river, this is our shortest trip – so you can enjoy the rest of your day in Jim Thorpe!

This is the trip for people that just want to chill, lay in the sun, enjoy the clean Lehigh River. Many times you’ll look around and see lots of people slip out of their rafts to float hand in hand with their families. This is one of the highlights of the trip and the subject of many of our “thank you” letters… “My favorite part was swimming alongside our raft!”
People come in all shapes and sizes. Remember – this trip is the one to choose if you’re concerned about your fitness level or the fitness level of anyone in your group. It’s also the trip to take if you have trouble with your weight. The easier rapids and shorter length make this the “easiest-on-your-body” trip. Whitewater rafting is a wonderful outdoor activity, but you’ll be paddling. You’ll be in your own raft, using your energy to propel the raft down the river. For most people, it isn’t a very hard activity and they love being a real participant. Rafting does require, however, a certain amount of physical health, well-being, and a solid fitness level. You have to make that decision. If you have any physical or medical concerns you can call us for guidance and our opinion at 610-377-1230. We really respect people who ask us “can I do this?” So if you have any concerns, please ask us directly and we will politely take the time to explain what you can expect on our river rafting trips. Most of all, you can expect to have tons of fun!
We have wet suits available for rent, or you may bring your own! Wet suits are required by PA State Park Regulations through the end of April - and they make things more comfortable any time!
